March Committee
The Strike Committee met in 11/11/09 and we decided to create a march committee to try to make a march on the scale Sept. 24th's.
• This means we need an organized effort replicate and exceed the success of the Sept 24th march. We want this march to be successful so we can kickoff the Nov 18-20th actions and get people pumped!
• We hope that the march can make stops to constructions sits, Berkeley High, Berkeley Community College and other stops on campus in order to build solidarity with these communities and help expand this movement's scope.
• The strike enforcement committee will be doing building sweeps, possibly throughout the day, but for sure during the rally and the protest targeting classes that are going on and students who are hanging out in the buildings to bring them out to participate and march.
• We are looking for other people to help with this and will be setting up a meeting in the next couple days. We can decide collectively and figure out the best way to approach this march and the best way to make a big statement and inclusive as possible. If you want to help with this, let me know when you can meet up.
• I will try to keep information regarding the other committees on ucsolidarity.org in the Nov 18-20th strike section
• Possible meet up times include: Friday evening (5:30pm or after), Saturday in the evening? or Sunday afternoon/evening. Let me know what works for ya'll!
These are the ones who signed up to be part of the March Committee so far (I will email them the contact info separately). Contact Juan if you want to be part of the committee!

Strike Enforcement Committee
The Strike Committee met on Wednesday and one of our decisions for how to make the strike effective was that it would be necessary to organize a group of people to help with strike enforcement. This means we need an organized effort to help make it clear what "no business as usual" means, in other words that its not cool to teach class during a strike. This is especially important as this is going to be a multiple day strike, so we have to establish what this means from the beginning. We will be doing building sweeps, possibly throughout the day, but for sure during the rally and the protest targeting classes that are going on and students who are hanging out in the buildings to bring them out to participate and march. We are looking for other people to help with this and will be setting up a meeting in the next couple days. We can decide collectively then how best to proceed with this task, given that, of course, some people like lecturers have to teach class. If you want to help with this, let me know with when you can meet up.
